Poole Neighbourhood Policing Team 👮♂️ Neighbourhood Policing Team Update 🚔
Our week started off with discoveries of cannabis farm grows in Poole, following on from the arrest of a male. Monday involved joint Trading Standards days of action, targeting the illegal sale of tobacco and vapes across premises in Poole and assisting colleagues in North Bournemouth. A quantity of illegal tobacco was seized.
Tuesday Mike and Sam attended Upton Bay Care Home for a scam talk to residents and were very warmly welcomed by all and the refreshments were gratefully received.
Wednesday, our officers took part in Op Viper activities in Poole, targeting drug related criminal activity with support from our Neighbourhood Enforcement team. Effective and proactive enforcement was carried out in a number of locations in Poole, following recent intelligence on drug dealing, whilst supporting vulnerable cuckooing victims involved. Seizures of illegal E-Bikes and scooters continue.
Thursday some of our team assisted our Bournemouth colleagues and mutual aid support from across UK policing at AFC Bournemouth's home game against AC Milan, which was another big night for Bournemouth and significant resourcing for us to police.
Nearing the end of our working week has proved challenging for us, given the nature of the current storms hitting the UK. Already we have been out to numerous fallen trees causing hazards to road users and can anticipate ongoing disruption across our towns and beyond. Please take care out on our road network and consider only making essential journeys, given the high winds and potential hazards, particularly down country lanes.
